Projected GDP Ranking

As of 2023, the United States and China would occupy the first two places in both methods' gdp ranking. The US and China's margin is coming down in nominal ranking as China's gdp growth rate of 2023 (5.01%) is higher than the US's 2.09%. On a nominal basis, the US is ahead of China by $9 trillion in 2023. On a ppp basis, China is ahead of US by Int. $6 trillion, and the gap is increasing. China will remain the world's largest economy on a ppp basis over the next few decades as 2nd ranked US is growing slow and 3rd ranked India is way behind.

In the nominal gdp list, Germany will claim 3rd spot from Japan, Italy moving up by two positions and Canada moving down by one spot.Brazil will enter in top 10 list replacing Russia. Other changes in the top 20 would be Mexico and Türkiye climbing two spots each with each Australia and Saudi Arabia slipping two spots. Among the top 50, the Economic rank of Austria and Philippines would move up by five positions, while Nigeria would lose eight places.

In the ppp ranking, There would be no change in the top 20 list. Among the top 50, Iran and Hong Kong will climb two spots.

In the list of top 50, six economies will experience a negative growth rate in 2023 in both ranking. India is the fastest-growing economy with 6.33%, followed by the Bangladesh (6.03%). Iraq has the lowest growth rate of -2.74%, followed by the Argentina (-2.50%).

United States (1,5) is present in both lists of the top ten GDP and GDP per capita ranking at nominal terms. Germany (3,20), Canada (10,18), Australia (14,10), Netherlands (18,11), and Switzerland (20,3) are in the top twenty list of GDP and GDP per capita ranking. In PPP, United States (2,10) is present in the top ten, whereas Saudi Arabia (17,18) is in the top twenty of both rankings.
