As per the report of the Technical Group by the National Commission, the population of Tripura is projected to be 4,194,000, or 4.20 million, or 41.94 lakh, as of July 1, 2024. Tripura is the 21st most populous state in India. It is the second-largest state in northeastern India in terms of population. Tripura’s population is projected to reach 45.71 lakh in 2036.
The size of the population of Tripura is equivalent to that of Kuwait, the 129th most populous country in the world.
In 2024, the sex ratio of the total population in Tripura will be 103.248 males per 100 females. There are 2,130,000, or 2.13 million, or 21.30 lakh, males and 2,063,000, or 2.06 million, or 20.63 lakh, females in Tripura. Tripura has 67,000, or 67k, more males than females.
