Top 10 largest economies by GDP

As of 2025, the top ten largest economies in the world are the United States, China, Germany, Japan, India, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Russia, and Canada. The nominal GDP of the top ten economies accounts for two-thirds of the world's GDP.

In the list of the top ten largest economies, eight are common in nominal and PPP methods: the United States, China, Germany, Japan, the United Kingdom, France, India, and Russia. Italy and Canada are in the top 10 on a nominal basis, while Brazil and Indonesia are in the top 10 on a PPP basis. On a PPP basis, the top 10 share almost 61.44% of the total.

Five of the economically largest countries are located in Europe, three in Asia, and two in North America. In PPP data, four countries are located in Europe, four in Asia, one in North America, and one in South America.

India, Indonesia, and China are the fastest-growing economies, having growth rates above 4%. Five have GDP growth rates below 2%, and Germany is the slowest.

Among the top ten biggest countries, the United States is the richest country by GDP per capita, followed by Canada and the United Kingdom. India is the poorest country, followed by China and Russia. In PPP, India is followed by Indonesia and Brazil.

A total of 17 economies have entered the top ten largest economies list since 1960. The remaining seven are South Korea, Spain, Mexico, Australia, the Netherlands, Brazil, and Argentina. Mexico, Saudi Arabia, and Spain have entered in the top ten PPP list.
